Settlement proposals have been sent out across the country to people who own certain Chevy or Buick models from Enterprise Holdings Inc., the car rental company, because they had been ordering rental cars without side airbags in order to save money and a class action suit was filed against them.

Those program vehicles are now owned by others and Enterprise is offering those people a $100 voucher to rent or buy another vehicle from Enterprise.

These vouchers will be sent to nearly 100,000 people nationwide.

The rental-car company ordered these vehicles without side airbags because it saved them $175 per car.

The salmonella outbreak in eggs have resulted in a nationwide class action against the Iowa egg farms who are responsible.

Six consumers that became ill after eating the contaminated eggs have filled the lawsuit in the Chicago federal court. The suit claims that Wright County Egg and Hillandale Farms “failed to adequately and properly test, inspect, and comply with federal and statutory regulations” which caused many people to get sick.

Sources close to the suit have said that the class action could grow to cover more than 76,000 people. This suit is the first nationwide class action that has been brought up on the issue. The plaintiffs in the case are Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Illinois and they are seeking not only profits for the damage done but also the creation of a monitoring program that will look into the health problems faced by the people in the class suit.
