A class action has been filed against a Texas company that buys and sells industrial equipment alleging that they were running a “racist workplace.”
More than 230 black workers filed the suit against Turner Industries in a 374-page class action lawsuit.
The complaint claims that the black workers were punished more harshly than their fellow white workers and that they were denied promotions.
Other harassment was described such as negative language used and nooses that were hung around the office. The class is currently seeking punitive damages and lost wages.
