Three residents in Union City have filed a class action lawsuit against Union Water claiming that the company sold them useless warranties that did not cover repairs. Officials in the town are pushing more to follow in theses resident’s footsteps.

The residents are seeking refunds on the warranties that were sold to them for about $150 and were allegedly supposed to cover repairs to broken water and sewer pipes.

The application to receive the warranty states that the multi-units are not covered by this warranty, the lawsuit states that the company has sold it to many multi-family units regardless.
