Class action lawsuit filed over loss of wages

Posted on June 7th, 2011 No Comments

Employees for Kraft/Cadbury have filed a class action lawsuit against Prologistix, the company that employs them, claiming that they were cheated out of wages.

The workers that have filed the suit are organized by Warehouse Workers for Justice in order to help improve working conditions and this is the fourth class action against the company that has been filed.

The report released by the organization stated that 63 percent of the workers are receiving poverty wages and working as temporary workers. The coordinator for the organization claims that the issue arises between temporary and permanent workers because temporary workers are more susceptible to abuse.

The workers claim that they were never given a written notice of their wages and they were not paid for their vacation wages.
